Dendrobium Orchid Burana Galaxy 11 is a charming tropical flower that will add brilliant pink color to any setting. This delightful orchid has long-lasting flowers, is delicate, and is an orchid lover and home gardener’s dream!
Watering 💧
Keep your Dendrobiums in a slightly moist environment, although they should dry out a little bit. Water well and let the top inch of soil dry before watering again. Outdoors you will usually be watering the plant 2-3 times a week, and if they are in an indoor environment one or two times per week. You also need to ensure good drainage as well to avoid water-letting and root rot.
Light ☀️
Bright, indirect sunlight is the way to go. Indoors, north, or east-facing windows are ideal. If outdoors, try to find shady, bright, indirect light, like being under a tree, a covered patio or inside green house with 50 to 60% shade netting. However, avoid direct sun so you do not burn the leaves.
Temperature 🌡️
For these orchids, the temperature should range from 15-35°C). They’ll take a bit of a chill, but don’t let them see frost or anything below 10°C.
Humidity 💨
Target humidity between 50-70%. If your home is especially dry, set a humidity tray or mini humidifier nearby.
Soil and Potting Mix 🪴
Plant it into a free-draining orchid mix. For Dendrobiums, a mixture of coco chips and charcoal is not bad.
Repotting 🏺
Repot this plant every 2-3 years, if it has outgrown its current pot. Select a pot with good drainage holes.
Fertilizing 🌱
Give your Dendrobium a feeding once in a weeks throughout the growing season with a balanced, water-soluble orchid fertilizer (19:19:19) and a complete micronutrients. Reduce feeding in winter.
Pruning ✂️
Remove spent flowers and any yellow or brown leaves. Trim roots when you repot, only if they look damaged or rotted.
Propagation 🌿
Dendrobium orchids can be propagated by stem cuttings or through division. It is ideal to propagate after flowering when the plant is dormant, if possible. Make sure that each division has at least one healthy stem or cane and some roots for it to grow successfully into a new plant.
